Who publishes the library?

Smoketown GEO, part of Smoketown Software, publishes these guides for business owners and practitioners. We also sell GEO services. Service links are identified separately from external evidence; a commercial relationship with us is not required to use the educational material.

How we distinguish evidence

• Platform documentation: linked statements about a named provider’s products or requirements. We do not generalize one platform’s rules to every AI system.
• Research: attributed findings with limits. An experiment is not a forecast of local business performance.
• Recommendations: our practical judgment about a workflow or priority. These are not undisclosed ranking factors.
• Examples: hypothetical scenarios and calculations are labeled. They are not client results.

What a source link means

A citation should support the adjacent claim. The sources section collects primary references for further inspection. A citation does not mean the source endorses Smoketown GEO, and access to a page does not establish the accuracy of every statement it contains.

Authorship and assistance

Guides use an organizational byline. That identifies the publisher; it does not imply review by an outside expert or certification by an AI platform. Drafting and editing may be assisted by AI tools. The evidence standard remains the same regardless of how the prose was produced.

Updates and review dates

The displayed date identifies the edition’s content update and reference check, not a promise that a platform has remained unchanged. Substantive changes should update that date. Typographical edits should not be used to make old guidance look newly researched.

When documenting original observations, include the collection date, prompt set, product context, sample size, and limitations. The current guides teach a method; they do not present an original cross-platform benchmark.

Corrections

Send a correction through our contact form. Include the resource URL, the specific statement, and a supporting source or explanation. Please omit private customer data. Material corrections should identify the changed guidance on the affected page; we do not promise a fixed response time.

What we do not claim

No guide guarantees indexing, a citation, a recommendation, or revenue. An isolated answer does not establish a universal rank. We aim to publish explanations and methods that remain useful when a particular platform changes.
